EU Officials are holding firm on their €100bn demand from Great Britain as both parties failed to reach a compromise at yesterdays Brexit negotiations in Brussels.
Britain have offered €99.5bn plus Northern Ireland in an effort to draw the line and get to the next stage of their EU departure. The offer was laughed off by many at the summit, with the only counter offer being suggested put forward by Danish MEP Jak Kanoff. Kanoff hinted, during a lengthily speech that an offer of a straightforward €98bn might suffice providing that the UK keep Northern Ireland.
During Kanoff's speech, with both party's trying to pawn off Northern Ireland to the there....Republic of Ireland Leader Enda Kenny had to be removed. His removal was prompted after containing to try and interrupt talks with his finger in the air and a increasing and vocal "excuse me, what about".
With talks reaching a deadlock both parties are due to announce further talks for sometime towards the end of May.
