Fresh after the announcement of Netflix's deal to release 4 more Adam Sandler movies subscriptions at the movie streaming service have plummeted as fans vote with their feet and leave.
Many long time subscribers have commented that they would rather pay higher subscription fee's than have to watch or even flick through current Sandler movies such as Pixels, Jack and Jill and The Cobbler. We spoke with 1 irate Netflix user who stated the following upon hearing the news:
"For fucks sake, another 4 of those shite movies, when does it end. Netflix is full of Sandler movies and the problem is I had to sit through 2 of them before because the missus thought they would be good. I put up with the idea hoping to Netflix and chill but she feel asleep - both times. Bloody Adam Sandler cock blocking me, as if wasting over 2 hours of my life wasn't enough. As long as they don't sign up for M. Night Shyamalan originals I might signup to Netflix sometime in the future - but only when the Sandler Movies have run their course"
While Netflix do not release viewer ratings or statistics Sandler's first two Netflix comedies The Ridiculous 6 and The Do Over have Rotten Tomatoes scores of just 18 and 5% respectively. While many movie critics have panned many of Sandler's recent movie offerings it isn't stopping the gravy train for Sandler, with the new contract set to be one of Netflix's biggest contracts to date.
The Netflix share price has also hit a downward spiral and investors are believed to be in talks with Netflix management about having more of an input and calling for more transparency when it comes to the selection for future Netflix exclusives.
