ITV have announced plans to broadcast new reality TV show "The Sob Factor" this coming August. With viewers of traditional shows such as "The X Factor" and "Britains got Talent" in decline producers decided it was time to change the format or come up with something new for a similar target audience.
The show will feature contestants who either sing or perform an act before going on to tell the sobbiest story of their life. Judges will then decide on who they think is the saddest of them all before voting them into the next round.
Speaking exclusively to Scandal HQ lead producer Sobby McSopperson had the following to say:
"This is going to be huge, just massive. With all the jobless whingebags, single mothers and teenage snowflakes these days we expect to have a huge amount of applicants to choose from. Reality TV favourite Louis Walsh has been confirmed as a judge and we are also hoping to get Ukip leader Paul Nuttall on board - a man who is great at a good cry on TV after faking a sob story of his own."
For those wishing to take part in the show auditions will be announced next month and will take place in venues throughout Britain, especially the North East where there is a lot to whinge about. Contestants are expected to exaggerate, waffle and turn on the tears as much as possible in order to progress to the next round. To help soften viewers up background music will be provided by Adele, who's ballads would make Chuck Norris cry.
